Fall Festival & Barbecue
Begins at 4:00pm

Our Father in heaven gives us good times in life, and this Fall Festival and Barbecue will no doubt, be one of them!  This is for our church family, friends, neighbors and guests. It is a time for those young and old to be together, to hang out and have some fun, fellowship and good food too!

The plan for our time:

** 4pm - A time to play, with lots of fun arcade-type games, as well as horseshoes, frisbee, and ping-pong.

** 5pm - A time to eat, with plenty of good food.  Meat is provided.  If you can, bring a side dish or dessert to share.

** 6pm - There will be lots and lots of good and fun door prizes given away, as well as some valuable gift cards.  Remember to get your number at the door.

** 7pm - A time to sit, sing and fellowship in the sanctuary.  We'll be singing some old-time hymns and gospel songs, and also hearing some good piano playing.

Worship Songs for Lord's Day ~  October 21, 2018

Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee ~ Hymn #1

Joyful, joyful, we adore Thee, God of glory, Lord of love;

Hearts unfold like flowers before Thee, opening to the sun above.

Melt the clouds of sin and sadness; drive the dark of doubt away;

Giver of immortal gladness, fill us with the light of day!

All Thy works with joy surround Thee, earth and heaven reflect Thy rays,

Stars and angels sing around Thee, center of unbroken praise.

Field and forest, vale and mountain, flowery meadow, flashing sea,

Singing bird and flowing fountain call us to rejoice in Thee.

Thou art giving and forgiving, ever blessing, ever blessed,

Wellspring of the joy of living, ocean depth of happy rest!

Thou our Father, Christ our Brother, all who live in love are Thine;

Teach us how to love each other, lift us to the joy divine.

Mortals, join the happy chorus, which the morning stars began;

Father love is reigning o'er us, brother love binds man to man.

Ever singing, march we onward, victors in the midst of strife,

Joyful music leads us sunward in the triumph song of life.

Lo, He Comes with Clouds Descending ~ Hymn #241

Lo, He comes with clouds descending, once for favored sinners slain;

Thousand thousand saints attending, swell the triumph of His train;

Alleluia! alleluia! God appears on earth to reign.

Ev'ry eye shall now behold Him, robed in dreadful majesty;

Those who set at naught and sold Him, pierced and nailed Him to the tree,

Deeply wailing, deeply wailing, shall the true Messiah see.

Now redemption, long expected, see in solemn pomp appear;

All His saints, by men rejected, now shall meet Him in the air:

Alleluia! alleluia!  See the day of God appear.

Yea, Amen! let all adore Thee, high on Thine eternal throne;

Savior, take the pow'r and glory, claim the kingdom for Thine own:

O, come quickly, O come quickly!  Everlasting God, come down.

Shout to the Lord

My Jesus, my Savior.   Lord, there is none like You.

All of my days I want to praise the wonders of Your mighty love.

My comfort, my shelter.  Tower of refuge and strength.

Let every breath, all that I am, never cease to worship You.

Chorus:        Shout to the Lord, all the earth, let us sing.   Power and majesty, praise to the King.

Mountains bow down and the seas will roar at the sound of Your name.

I sing for joy at the works of Your hands, forever I'll love You, forever I'll stand.

Nothing compares to the promise I have in You.

Psalm 55:22,16,17 ~ Cast Thy Burden

Cast thy burden upon the Lord and He shall sustain thee.

He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

As for me I will call upon God, and the Lord shall save me.

Chorus:  Evening and morning and afternoon will I pray and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice.

Holy, Holy,  Holy ~ Hymn #262

Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee.

Holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty God in three persons, blessed Trinity.

Holy, holy, holy, all the saints adore Thee casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea.

Cherubim and seraphim falling down before Thee, which wert and art and evermore shalt be.

Holy, holy, holy though the darkness hide Thee, though the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see;

Only Thou art holy, there is none beside Thee perfect in pow'r, in love and purity.

Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty all Thy works shall praise Thy name in earth and sky and sea.

Holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty God in three persons, blessed Trinity.

Offertory: Psalm 115:1-3 ~ Not to Us, O Lord

Not to us, O Lord, but to Thy Name give glory. Not to us, O Lord, but to Thy Name give glory.

Because of Thy lovingkindness,  because of Thy truth,

Not to us, O Lord, but to Thy Name give glory.  Not to us, O Lord, but to Thy Name give glory.

No a nosotros, Dios, mas a tu nombre gloria.  No a nosotros, Dios, mas a tu nombre gloria.

Por tu misericordia y por tu verdad.

No a nosotros, Dios, mas a tu nombre gloria.  No a nosotros, Dios, mas a tu nombre gloria.

Why should the nations say, "Where now is their God?" Why should the nations say, "Where now is their God?"

But our God is in the heavens,  He does whatever He pleases.

Not to us, O Lord, but to Thy Name give glory.  Not to us, O Lord, but to Thy Name give glory.
